CHRISTMAS GIFT PACKAGING
Q: Tell us about the project.
A: A project for Sarah Chapman, the renowned facialist. I was delighted to be comissioned to design a limited edition of Christmas Gift packaging.
Q: What did this consist of?
A: The packaging shapes consisted of a Christmas cracker, star box or tradional beauty bag, which would each contain the Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial and Lip Concentrate.
Q: The hexagonal design is dynamically geometric but also beauiful. How was this created?
A: Sarah was keen to use a geometric shape to start and the hexagon was decided upon. We started by creating a repeat pattern, which was positioned at angles across the packaging, fading in and out to look like stars. Layering both a matt and gloss pewter shade under and over the pattern softened the design and produced a textural effect.
